


One of the caveats for example is that you can't (from my investigation) get the gateway to assign IP addresses, or configure the DNS settings). It's recommended to set up your own lab environment (you can do this in vmware or KVM with the 3 week trial licenses) and upgrade them to the version of your active gateways. But on the field of stability it works like a charm. I've noticed that there are a few caveats when working on this. Please do keep in mind that this is a non-checkpoint supported "feature". I've got a Checkpoint remote access VPN going with libreswan on R80.30 with both Debian and Ubuntu clients.
